Our Truck

The Vintage 1950 Ford F2 Tap Truck

Welcome to the home of an extraordinary transformation: a 1950 Ford F2 Tap Truck from a charming cornfield in the heart of Nebraska. Classic Pour shares the story of how this classic pickup truck was handcrafted and converted into a mobile beverage service that adds a touch of nostalgia to special events.

Our Roots

From Nebraska farmstead to event centerpiece.

The journey begins on a picturesque cornfield in Nebraska. The Ford F2 was purchased brand new after World War II by Rudolf “Rudy” G. Sandin as a vital piece of farm work equipment.

Rudolf was born in 1900 and began farming in 1909. He farmed mostly corn and also had cattle and hogs. His father passed away from tuberculosis when Rudy was just 16, and Rudy continued farming with help from two uncles to support his mother and two sisters. A gifted machinist, Rudy graduated from the Lincoln Auto and Tractor School in 1920, took extreme care of his equipment, and had a deep love and respect for steam engines. When he needed a reliable farm truck, he turned to the Ford F2 and purchased it new. At one point, he even fabricated a hoist on the back to make heavy work easier around the farmstead.

The antique farm truck became part of daily life in the cornfields. Through countless seasons, it witnessed the changing tides of time and farming practices. It transported bundles of corn to the packing house, played a role in family gatherings, and carried the hopes and dreams of generations who cultivated the land.

In 1983, Rudy sold the farm and its equipment, including the 1950 Ford F2 Pickup, to his relative Albert Ferris, who preserved the truck’s natural beauty and kept it garaged for years. After Albert passed in 1997, the truck was inherited by his grandson Greg Poole. The family-owned farm had long been part of the community, preserving heartland traditions from the very soil where the truck’s story began.

Restored with respect for the past.

The mission is twofold: preserve the heritage of the antique farm truck and share its rich history with people who appreciate tradition.
